On December 12, 2023, Jiahao Han premiered his own composition, Four Fantasy Pieces for Piano, at Juilliard’s Double Vision Concert. Written and presented under the tutelage of Dr. Philip Lasser, the work reflects Jiahao’s dual identity as both pianist and composer, bringing together his experience as a performer with his growing interest in contrapuntal craft, harmonic color, and expressive musical form. The performance offered an intimate view of Jiahao’s creative voice from the keyboard, where compositional imagination and pianistic sonority could meet directly.
