. . . . Jiahao Han was selected as one of three finalists who advanced from a global preliminary round. In the final round, each finalist presented a 45-minute performance that combined repertoire from multiple musical eras with a newly commissioned contemporary work by Timo Andres. Jiahao was awarded the $10,000 Second Prize as well as the Best Performance of a Commissioned Piece Award for his interpretation of Andres’s work Competition.

European American Music Alliance – Music Festival

. . . a summer music festival founded by Dr. Philip Lasser as a continuation of the French pedagogical lineage of Nadia Boulanger and her student Narcis Bonet. Marking the festival’s thirtieth anniversary, EAMA offered an intensive environment in which performance, analysis, composition, and musicianship were deeply intertwined. As the only Piano Duo receiving fellowship, Jiahao Han and Vicky Lam studied chamber music with the renowned pianist and pedagogue Émile Naoumoff, himself a student of Nadia Boulanger; worked at the highest level of Keyboard Harmony with Dr. Lasser; and studied score reading of nineteenth- and twentieth-century symphonies and orchestral works with conductor Mark Shapiro.
Jiahao’s experience at EAMA culminated in a series of performances that reflected the festival’s emphasis on stylistic breadth, collaboration, and living musical craft. . . .

Art of Piano 2025 – Music Festival

. . . an intensive music festival that brought together young pianists for two and a half weeks of study, performance, and artistic exchange. Participants attended masterclasses, lessons, and workshops with distinguished faculty members including Mr. Hung-Kuan Chen, Ms. Tema Blackstone, Mr. Fabio Bidini, Ms. Joanna MacGregor CBE, and Ms. Micah Yui.
The festival culminated in a final lecture-performance, in which each student presented a reflection of what they had absorbed during the program. Beyond the formal training, the experience was shaped by Banff’s extraordinary natural surroundings. . . .
